General CME Statement

CME accreditation

All the Lupus Academy activities are initiated and developed independently of the financial supporters of the programme. Each activity is developed according to relevant CME standards and where appropriate, submitted for accreditation to the respective CME accreditation authority.

The annual and regional meetings are accredited by the European Union of Medical Specialists—European Accreditation Council for CME (UEMS-EACCME) whose credits are recognised in the majority of the countries where the Lupus Academy delegates come from: across Europe, USA, Canada, Latin America, Middle East and Asia. The cardiology-related e-learning has been accredited by the European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC) and the Lupus Academy can also develop and present activities according to ACCME standards for activities to be accredited for US credit.

  • The ‘Inaugural meeting of the Lupus Academy’ was designated for a maximum of 9 hours of European external CME credits.
  • The ‘2nd annual meeting of the Lupus Academy’ was designated for a maximum of 8 hours of European external CME credits.
